Charge Through Shark Week 2017
Our favorite time of year is finally here, Shark Week. We’ve been watching all week long. You can check out the calendar below to see what you’ve missed so far, and you can see what’s coming up the rest of 2017 Shark Week.
We are also going to look at a cool shark related gadget, and take a bite out of Quick Charging. You are going to need that battery power to live tweet during shark week, add Shark Week Snapchat filters, live stream shows on your phone, play interactive games, and whatever else you enjoy doing on your phone.

Two of our Favorite Things
In honor of Shark Week, we’ve found an intersection of two things that we love. Sharks and cool gadgets.
If you haven’t heard of them before, there is a product called SharkBanz. They use magnetic technology that creates a magnetic field that keeps sharks away. All of this is achieved with no battery charging, and it is always on.
Suffice to say, we were definitely interested, so we did some more research. Through our research we learned that Sharks have the strongest electroreception in the animal kingdom. What’s electroreception? We had the same question, electroreception is the sensitivity to magnetic fields. This can be used to navigate at night or in parts of the ocean that are very dark. Sharks keep getting cooler the more we learn about them, no wonder they get their own week.
We love shark week and all the awesome documentaries that go along with it, but would never actually go nose to nose with a shark. We don't think we are going to actually test this technology for ourselves, we'll just take their word for it.

Pretty cool Shark Tech, color me excited!
Take a Bite out of G Fast Quick Charging?
Quick Charging is so sweet, there isn't much better of a word to describe it. Once you've used G-Fast Quick Charging you will never go back to your original charger again. You can power up your phone 50% in the time it takes to order a pizza and have it delivered, 30 minutes or less. But what exactly is Quick Charge and what does it really mean for the hungry battery shark?
We've updated this guide to help you charge through Shark Week. You'll learn more about G-Fast Quick Charge, find out if your device supports Quick Charge, how to maximize the charging speeds, charging techniques, and more.
Let's start with the basics:
Here are the charging speeds of several different types of chargers:
Standard Phone Charger
Charges at 1A or 1000mAh (Used for older iPhone and Android Devices
Most tablets charge at a 2.0A or 2000mAh Rate
1st Generation Quick Charge
The first generation of Quick Charge charges at 2.4A or 2400mAh as you can see this is twice as fast as a standard charger.
G-Fast Quick Charge
Our newest charging technology. Charges at 3.0A or 3000mAh.

Adaptive G-Fast Quick Charge
3000mAh is a lot of battery charging power to be moving through your smartphone. Not only that, but not every smartphone is G-Fast Quick Charge compatible.
That is where Adaptive Quick Charging technology can help. All of our G-Fast Quick Charge Chargers feature a special chip that will adjust the charging voltage to quickly and safely charge the device as fast as possible, even if it is not Quick Charge compatible.
For Quick Charge phones when your battery is closer to 0 it will charge super-fast and slow down charging speeds as your device reaches 100%.
This protects against overcharging, overheating, and promotes overall battery health.
Just for Sharks and Giggles here's a picture of a shark attacking a "Seal"
Taking Advantage of G-Fast Quick Charge
G-Fast and other Quick Charge technologies are best used when your battery is close to dying. It will charge the fastest from 0%-50% after that the device charging speeds will get slower to safely and efficiently charge your device. This also protects your device from potential damage and will increase the lifespan of your battery.
It is not unlikely that you can charge from 0-50% in as little 30 minutes. Charging from 80-100% will not charge as fast however, but still way faster than a regular charger.
